Rapid Alarm Response
Windsor, Ontario
When your alarm triggers, you need a real person on-site — fast. ApexGuard provides immediate physical alarm response across Windsor and Essex County, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
What We Do
Physical Response — Not Just Monitoring
Most alarm monitoring companies can see that your alarm has triggered — but they can't physically verify what's happening or secure your property. ApexGuard fills that gap.
When your monitoring station receives an alarm signal, they contact our 24/7 dispatch centre. We immediately deploy the nearest available licensed patrol officer to your location. Our officer arrives on-site, conducts a thorough assessment, secures any vulnerabilities, contacts police if needed, and files a complete incident report.
It's the physical response your CCTV and monitoring system alone cannot provide — and the documentation your insurance company will thank you for.
Perfect for properties that have:

Professional Workflow
What Happens When Your Alarm Triggers
A structured, documented 7-step response process — every time.
Step 01
Alarm Triggered
Your property's alarm system activates — motion, door/window, glass break, or perimeter breach detected.
Step 02
Monitoring Station Notifies Dispatch
Your monitoring company contacts ApexGuard's 24/7 dispatch centre and requests a physical response to your location.
Step 03
Officer Dispatched Immediately
Our dispatcher assigns the nearest available patrol officer. The officer is en route within minutes of the notification.
Step 04
On-Site Arrival & Assessment
The officer arrives, performs a full exterior walk and checks all entry points. If access is available, an interior sweep is conducted.
Step 05
Incident Determination
Officer determines if the alarm is a confirmed intrusion, false alarm, environmental trigger, or requires police involvement.
Step 06
Secure & Contact
Any unsecured entry points are addressed. The client and/or police are contacted as appropriate. Locksmith is coordinated if required.
Step 07
Incident Report Filed
A complete written incident report is submitted to the client detailing time of arrival, findings, actions taken, and follow-up notes.

Service Agreement
Key Contract Terms
We believe in full transparency. Here are the key terms that govern our alarm response service agreements.
Response Time Commitment
“ApexGuard Security Inc. will use commercially reasonable efforts to dispatch a licensed patrol officer within 10 minutes of receiving notification from the client's authorized alarm monitoring station. Response times are estimates and may vary based on traffic, weather, and patrol officer availability at the time of dispatch.”
Scope of Response
“The alarm response service includes a physical on-site assessment of the property exterior and, where access is provided, the interior. Officers will document findings and notify the client and/or emergency services as appropriate. ApexGuard officers are not responsible for property damage pre-existing at the time of arrival.”
False Alarm Policy
“All dispatches — including false alarms — are billable under Per Dispatch agreements. Under Monthly Retainer agreements, false alarms are included in the unlimited dispatch coverage. Clients experiencing persistent false alarms will be contacted by their account manager to review alarm system performance.”
Client Notification
“Upon completion of an on-site assessment, the officer or dispatch centre will contact the client's designated emergency contact within 30 minutes of arrival. A written incident report will be delivered to the client within 24 hours of the response event.”
The above are representative terms for reference purposes only. Full service agreements are provided upon engagement. All terms subject to review and mutual agreement.
FAQ
Common Questions
Q.Do I need to cancel my existing monitoring company?
No. We work alongside your current monitoring station. They continue to monitor your alarm system and simply dispatch ApexGuard when a physical response is needed. You keep your existing monitoring service and add us as the physical responder.
Q.How is alarm response different from having a guard on-site?
A stationary guard is on-site continuously — effective but more expensive. Alarm response is a reactive service: we respond when your alarm triggers. For properties that don't require a full-time guard but still need a rapid physical response after hours, alarm response is a cost-effective solution.
Q.What areas do you cover for alarm response?
We cover Windsor, LaSalle, Tecumseh, Leamington, Lakeshore, Amherstburg, and the broader Essex County area. If you're unsure whether your property is in our response zone, contact us and we'll confirm.
Q.What happens if police need to be called?
If our officer finds signs of intrusion or a confirmed security breach, they will contact Windsor Police Service immediately. Our officer will remain on-site to meet police, provide a witness account, and document the interaction in the incident report.
Q.Can I get alarm response as part of a mobile patrol contract?
Yes — and this is our most popular combination. Mobile patrol officers covering your route can respond to alarms as part of their patrol duties, reducing your response time and cost.
